Return Coordinates

The Return Coordinates feature is a unique tool that allows you to return your coordinates back to the protocol and potentially receive a higher price. If you own coordinates and wish to offer them back to the protocol for resale, this feature makes it simple to transfer ownership back to the protocol.

Price Determination and Process

The price at which you receive base tokens for returning your coordinates is dynamically determined based on several factors:

  • Total Base Tokens Available: The total base tokens available in the iCoordinates Protocol's pool at the time of the return.

  • Coordinates Portion: The portion of base tokens allocated to sold coordinates, which is calculated as a percentage of the total base tokens.

  • Available Base Tokens for Coordinates: The amount of base tokens available for distribution to returned coordinates, calculated based on the above portion.

  • Number of Sold Coordinates: The total number of coordinates that have been sold to users.

  • Price Calculation: The price is then calculated by dividing the available base tokens for coordinates by the total number of sold coordinates.

Price Formula

The price thus obtained is the value you receive in base tokens for returning your coordinates to the protocol. This mechanism ensures a fair and proportionate return for users based on the protocol's dynamics.

To determine the price you'll receive when returning coordinates, we use a simple equation:

Price=AvailableBaseTokensforCoordinatesNumberofSoldCoordinatesPrice = \frac{Available Base Tokens for Coordinates}{Number of Sold Coordinates}

Here's what each component means:

  • PricePrice: The amount of base tokens you'll get for returning your coordinates.

  • AvailableBaseTokensforCoordinatesAvailable Base Tokens for Coordinates: The portion of base tokens set aside for coordinates that are available for return at the time.

  • NumberofSoldCoordinatesNumber of Sold Coordinates: The total count of coordinates that have been sold to users.

This formula ensures a fair and proportionate value for the coordinates you're returning based on the dynamics of the iCoordinates Protocol.

Formula for Coordinates Portion

The portion of base tokens allocated for returning coordinates is calculated by subtracting the portions dedicated to the protocol and lucky draws from 1. This gives us the share of base tokens reserved for returning coordinates to their owners.

Components:

  • CoordinatesPortionCoordinates Portion: The portion of the total base tokens allocated for returning coordinates.

  • ProtocolPortionProtocol Portion: The portion of total base tokens allocated for the protocol.

  • LuckyDrawPortionLucky Draw Portion: The portion of total base tokens allocated for lucky draws.

This formula helps determine the portion of base tokens allocated for returning coordinates, taking into account the portions allocated for protocol fees and lucky draws. For values of Protocol Portion and Lucky Draw Portion, please refer to Matrix Information
